Floor Tiles
Floor tiles encounter heavy amounts of foot traffic and therefore they need to be very durable.
It's important to think about what rooms you want to place your floor tiles. Kitchens need floor tiles that are strong and able to withstand lots of traffic as well as be resistant to water, salt, or oil stains.
Bathroom floor tiles need only to be resistant to water. Other rooms that receive less traffic and are lower maintenance don't need very durable floor tiles. You can purchase floor tiles with different durability ratings, ranked from one to five with one as the least durable and five as the most.
Floor tiles come in a range of materials such as terracotta, ceramic, porcelain, quartz, limestone, marble and mosaic.
