HUNTER Coast Homes are the new builders on the project home block.

Traditionally, Hunter Coast Homes has been a custom builder, designing and constructing individual jobs.

This display home is the company's first foray into project home building.

As a franchisee of Hotondo Homes, Hunter Coast Homes has access to more than 100 designs.

Knowing how competitive the project home market is, Hunter Coast Homes offers a number of added features as standard.

For instance, with the Dalton design (on display at Ashtonfield), wide decorative skirting boards and chair rails are standard. An ornate wrought iron feature in the staircase balustrade is standard as are walk-in robes to all bedrooms and ventilated shelving in all cupboards. Fly screens to windows and doors and panelled internal doors are also standard.

Hunter Coast Homes director Darren Rodgers said Hunter Coast Homes offered full customer service during construction and that a supervisor was contactable at any time. `We encourage customers to communicate with the supervisor throughout the job', Mr Rodgers said.

`If there is something that's not right, we can get it solved straight away.'

The Dalton design is a two-storey, four-bedroom-plus-study floor plan, ideal for a growing family.

A wide entry foyer flows to all parts of the house including a double garage, study and staircase.

The study is large and placed well away from the busy living areas.

A front lounge/dining room flows onto the rear casual open-plan living area accommodating a kitchen,

dining area and family room.

The kitchen is well appointed with abundant cupboard and bench space.

A large breakfast bar overlooks the casual dining area and a spacious family room opens onto a rear deck.

Stainless steel Kleenmaid or Blanco appliances, including oven, cook top and rangehood, are standard inclusions in the kitchen.

Off the family room is a guest or fourth bedroom with a walk-in robe and ensuite. Also on this side of the house is a spacious internal laundry and large linen closet.

Upstairs, a large landing flows to a generously scaled main bedroom featuring two walk-in robes and a large ensuite with plenty of room for the installation of a bath.

Two other double bedrooms are on this level, and again feature walk-in robes.

A main bathroom and a computer or television nook complete this level.

As is, with all extras, such as carpet and extensive floor tiling, ducted vacuuming and air-conditioning, the Dalton is priced at around $240,000 (excluding site costs).

But the basic price tag beings at $197,000.

It is open for inspection through the week on Monday, Tuesday, Friday and over the weekend from 11am to 5pm at 44 Murphy Circuit, Ashtonfield.
